THESSALY, Pharsalos. Early 4th century BC. Æ Trichalkon (22mm, 8.70 g, 5h). Head of Athena facing slightly left, wearing triple-crested helmet / ΦA-P-ΣA (ΣA retrograde), armored warrior on horseback right, brandishing flail. Lavva 278b (V155/R193 – this coin, illustrated on pl. XII); Rogers 491, fig. 263 ; cf. BCD Thessaly 671.2; HGC 4, 645. VF, attractive green patina, chipped in areas.
