PHRYGIA, Apameia. Circa 88-40 BC. Æ (23mm, 8.25 g, 1h). Antiphon and Menekleos, magistrates. Helmeted bust of Athena right, wearing aegis / Eagle landing right on maeander pattern; star above, caps of the Dioskouroi flanking; ANTIΦΩN/MENEKΛ[EOYΣ] in two lines below. HGC 7, 670; SNG Copenhagen 164. EF, dark brown patina with traces of green and red, flatly struck on Athena’s shoulder.
