A special leather-bound two volume folio 941.5 by 27 cm) set of Gessner’s Numismata Regum Macedoniae ..., Numismata Graeca Regum atque Virorum Illustrium ..., Numismata Antiqua Familiarum Romanarum ..., and Numismata Antiqua Imperatorum Romanarum Graeca et Latina .... Bookplate of the prior owner – Douglas-Hamilton, Duke of Hamilton – on inside of front cover. The very rare Numismata Antiqua Familiarum Romanarum plates were included in few sets of this important work and are supplemented with contemporary printed copies of handwritten attributions.
