Faience ushabti. Egypt, Late Period, 664-332 BC. Mummiform ushabti with headdress and false beard, holding a pick and hoe. Satchel present at rear left shoulder, inscribed bar on back. The frontal text is a dedication to Ptah, the inscription on the back reads:
sHD wsir Pslm-tk (“illuminate the Osiris, Psalmtek”).
Height: 6.9cm. Some browning on glaze. Mounted on a lucite stand.

Schneider lists other ushabtis belonging to individuals named “Psalmtek,” however our piece does not appear to fit into any of those groupings.
