Faience ushabti. Egypt, Late Period, 664-332 BC. Mummiform ushabti with headdress and false beard, holding a pick and hoe. Satchel present at rear left shoulder, long bar on back. Frontal inscription arranged in “T” form and reading: sHD wsir Hrw-pA-ni-Ast msn Ast-(z)SSn (“illuminate the Osiris, Horus the one of Isis whom Isis the Lotus birthed”). Height: 11.4cm. Minor pitting in areas. Intact and attractive.
