Steatite composite amulet of Bes/Paitakos. Egypt, Late Period, 664-332 BC. A composite amulet of Bes on one side and Paitakos on the opposite, the two wearing a single scarab atop head. Pierced at the top for suspension.
Height: 29mm. Damage on face of Paitakos and loss of lower portion of amulet. A rare and interesting piece. Cf. Petrie,
