Green glazed steatite scarab. Egypt, Late Period, 26th Dynasty. Psamtik I (664-610 BC). Face inscribed r’ w’h b, a name of Psamtik, first king of the Saite Period, or 26th Dynasty (10x7mm). Pierced. A small but wonderfully preserved specimen. Cf. Rowe p. 266, S.108 for a similar cartouche.
