KINGS of PAEONIA. Patraos. Circa 335-315 BC. AR Tetradrachm (24mm, 12.81 g, 1h). Astibos or Damastion mint. Laureate head of Apollo right / Warrior on horse rearing right, thrusting spear held in his right hand at enemy below who defends with shield on his left arm; kantharos behind horse’s rear legs. Paeonian Hoard 195–7 (same dies); Peykov E2170; NRBM Paeonia 43–4 var. (symbol; same obv. die); SNG ANS 1032 (same dies). Good VF, toned, a couple minor die breaks on obverse.
