Vespasian. AD 69-79. AR Denarius (17mm, 3.18 g, 8h). Ephesus mint. Struck AD 70. Laureate head right / Ceres seated left, holding grain ears, poppy, and cornucopia; [without the monogram in exergue]. RIC II 1409 or 1416 var. (without monogram in exergue); RPC II 818 or 824 var. (same); RSC 66 or 66a var. (same). VF, some porosity.
This variety should have a Θ (or similar) monogram in the exergue. While there is something in the exergue, which is faint and mostly off the flan, it definitely is not the normal Θ monogram.
