SELEUKID EMPIRE. Seleukos II Kallinikos. 246-225 BC. AR Tetradrachm (30mm, 16.71 g, 12h). Antioch on the Orontes mint. Struck after 244 BC. Diademed head right / Apollo standing left, testing arrow and leaning on tripod; monograms to inner left and outer right. SC 689.1a; Le Rider, Antioche – (A2/P12 [unlisted die combination, but see below]); HGC 9, 303p. Good VF, lightly toned, areas of very minor roughness.

An additional monogram was later added to this reverse die below the outer right monogram, and then struck with this same die pair (Le Rider, Antioche 28). This pairing of dies was not previously known for the earlier issue.
