KINGS of PERSIS. Baydād (Bagadat). Early 3rd century BC. AR Tetradrachm (30mm, 17.06 g, 9h). Istakhr (Persepolis) mint. Head right, with short beard, mustache, and earring, wearing kyrbasia with flaps tied behind / bgdt prtrk (= “Baydād fratarak”) in Aramaic down right, zy (= “of”) in Aramaic below throne, ’lhy’ zy bgdt (= “the gods of Baydād”) in Aramaic up left from bottom, Baydād enthroned left, holding scepter and lotus blossom; standard to inner left.
