SICILY, Selinos. Circa 455-409 BC. AR Tetradrachm (24.5mm, 14.40 g, 6h). Contemporary imitation. Artemis, holding reins, driving quadriga left; beside her, Apollo standing left, drawing bow / Selinos standing left, holding branch and phiale over altar to left; before altar, cock standing left; to right, selinon leaf above bull standing left [on basis]. For prototype, cf. Schwabacher 15 (Q4/S15); cf. HGC 2, 1220. VF, toned. Very rare imitation, closely copying the dies of Schwabacher 15.

Such contemporary imitations are well documented for Syracuse tetradrachms, but are quite rare for other cities.
