AKARNANIA, Leukas. Circa 350-320 BC. AR Stater (22mm, 7.34 g, 2h). Pegasos flying left; Λ below / Helmeted head of Athena left within wreath. Imhoof-Blumer, Akarnaniens –; Pegasi 47 var. (Λ behind Athena); BCD Akarnania –; HGC 4, 822. Fine, toned. Extremely rare, none in CoinArchives or the BCD Collection.

It is likely that this is an example of Pegasi (Ambrakia) 47. The coin illustrated in Pegasi for that issue has an unclear letter on the obverse, which could be an A (which Calciati reads, for Ambrakia), or it could be a Λ, in which case it would be an issue of Leukas. Moreover, the style of that piece is more akin to issues of Leukas, rather than Ambrakia.
