MACEDON, Apollonia Chalkidike. Circa 279-200 BC. Æ (23mm, 8.56 g, 11h). Wreathed head of Dionysos right / Amphora. AMNG III/2, 3; HGC 3.1, 456. VF, dark green-brown patina, some deposits, overstruck on an issue of Ptolemy Keraunos (previously attributed to “Paroreia”).

On the reverse, one can distinguish the reverse of the undertype, an eagle standing right on a thunderbolt, and it the monogram to the left of the eagle is likely a ligate NK (cf. BMC 60 [Paroreia]).
