Claudius II Gothicus. AD 268-270. Antoninianus (21mm, 3.34 g, 12h). Cyzicus mint. 3rd emission, Phase 1, circa mid-late AD 269. Radiate bust right, seen from behind, wearing cross-belt and holding spear and shield decorated with gorgoneion / Pax standing left, holding olive branch and scepter; –/–//[SPQR]. Normanby –; RIC V –; RIC Online 936 (this coin cited). Good VF, dark green patina. Rare and attractive bust type. Better than the majority of the six currently listed by RIC Online.
