KINGS of THRACE, Macedonian. Lysimachos. 305-281 BC. Æ Unit (20mm, 6.45 g, 11h). Uncertain mint in Thrace (Lysimacheia?). Helmeted head of Athena right / Lion leaping right; spearhead below. Müller 61; HGC 3, 1758. Good VF, dark green patina, overstruck, likely on an Alexander-type bronze (traces of the lion mane on Herakles’ headdress is visible at the edge on the obv.). Exceptional for issue.
