EGYPT, Alexandria. temp. Gaius (Caligula). AD 37-41. Æ Dichalkon (12mm, 1.52 g, 12h). Uncertain year. Uraeus serpent erect right; L [?] (date) across field / Agathodaimon serpent erect left; crescent(?) to right. Apparently unpublished, but cf. RPC I 5110 for a similar obol. Fine, dark brown patina with touches of red, some green earthen highlights/deposits. Rare.
