Diva Faustina Senior. Died AD 140/1. Æ Sestertius (31.5mm, 26.16 g, 12h). Rome mint. Struck under Antoninus Pius, circa AD 146-161. Draped bust right, wearing pearls bound on top of her head / Ceres standing facing, head left, holding two torches. RIC III 1120 (Pius); Banti 36. VF, dark brown surfaces, minor pitting. With an early 20th century Dutch collector’s ticket, indicating it was purchased from J. Schulman, April 1916.
