Text and plate volumes describe and illustrate 2620 Greek and 538 Roman coins; Separate plate volume contains 66 plates total (include introduction and map). Volume I text hardbound; Volume I plates in portfolio case; remaining volumes cardbound with paper jackets. The original edition of this fundamental collection of Greek and Roman coins. Clain-Stefanelli 1927*. Very Fine condition overall, some age wear covers. Notation in pencil on spine of Volume I plates, A complete set sold in Kolbe & Fanning 132 (lot 1069) realized $6000.
