Soapstone amulet base. Egypt, Late Period, 664-332 BC. Stone base of an amulet, the upper portion of which has been broken off. Each side of the base is decorated with a serpent, while the bottom carries a lengthy pseudo-inscription of uncertain meaning. Dimensions: 37x16x12mm.
