A pair of gold plated earrings. Roman, 3rd-4th centuries AD. Two earrings with gold foil over with base metal cores. Each ring is a simple wire applied to a large roundel decorated with a well-detailed image of a rotund head of a boy. The roundel has a granulated border and granulated post attached to the back.
Dimensions: approx. 24x19mm; combined weight: 7.50g. Some minor dents, otherwise well-preserved and attractive.
