THESSALY, Peirasia. Circa 320/10-250/00 BC. Æ Trichalkon (19.5mm, 6.35 g, 6h). Helmeted head of Athena right / [ΠΕΙΡΑΣΙ-Ε-ΩΝ], Athena Itonia striding right, holding spear and shield. Pendleton BL 5a (O2/R3 – this coin, illustrated); Rogers –; BCD Thessaly II 506; HGC 4, 707. VF, dark red-brown patina. Extremely rare, only seven examples noted by Pendleton.
