PTOLEMAIC KINGS of EGYPT. Ptolemy II Philadelphos. 285-246 BC. Fourrée Tetradrachm (26mm, 12.95 g, 1h). Tyre mint. Undated issue, struck 285-261/0 BC. Diademed head of Ptolemy I right, wearing aegis around neck / Eagle standing left on thunderbolt; to left, H above club. Svoronos 637; SNG Copenhagen 478; DCA 4 (but see p. 29 – probably not a date). VF, toned, plating chipped in spots.

Most older references considered the H to be a date, but see DCA p. 29 for a discussion of this issue, which concludes that it is likely a control mark.
