THRACE, Maroneia. Late 2nd-mid 1st centuries BC. AR Tetradrachm (30.5mm, 16.74 g, 1h). Wreathed head of young Dionysos right / Dionysos standing half-left, holding grapes and narthex stalks; monograms flanking. Schönert-Geiss 1070–1 var. (V31/R– [unlisted rev. die]); HGC 3.2, 1556. VF, toned, overstruck (possibly on similar issue), slight bend in flan, graffito under tone on reverse.
Lot includes old collection ticket citing “bt. 1974”.
