AUSTRIA, Holy Roman Empire. Erzherzogtum Österreich (Archduchy of Austria). Maximilian III. Archduke, as Grand Master of the Teutonic Order, 1585-1618. AR Doppeltaler (46mm, 57.20 g, 12h). Hall mint. Dated 1614. Maximilian standing slightly left, holding reversed sword; to left, lion facing, supporting coat-of-arms; to right, crested helmet left / Teutonic knight on horseback rearing right, holding banner and reigns; garnished coat-of-arms below; all within border of fourteen smaller coats-of-arms. Moser & Tursky 412; Davenport B5854; KM 30. Good VF, toned, a few minor marks in fields.
