Green glazed steatite plaque. Egypt, New Kingdom Period, circa 1570-1077 BC. A plaque of exceptional quality with wonderfully preserved green glaze. One face reads
imn m’t s’s’ms (“The man of truth, Susmes”); the opposite inscribed
nb nfr Im’n (“Beautiful Lord Amun”). Pierced for suspension. Miniscule chip at one corner, otherwise intact and choice.
