GREEK, Lucania. Thourioi. Circa 350-300 BC. AR “Double Nomos – Distater” (26mm, 15.42 g, 1h). After dies by “Festa,” circa 1937. Head of Athena right, wearing crested Attic helmet decorated on its bowl with Skylla raising his left arm, on its neck guard with a griffin springing right / Bull butting right, (VE) monogram on rump, on plain ground line; ΘOYPIΩN above; in exergue, fish right.
