KINGS of THRACE, Macedonian. Lysimachos. 305-281 BC. AR Tetradrachm (28mm, 17.19 g, 12h). Perinthos mint. Struck circa 283/2 BC. Diademed head of the deified Alexander right, with horn of Ammon / Athena Nikephoros seated left, left arm resting on shield, transverse spear in background; joined foreparts of two horses to inner left, two monograms in exergue. Thompson –; Müller 136; HGC 3, 1750q. VF, deeply toned, a few marks. Very rare, and from the same dies as CNG E-399, lot 24 (hammer $950).
