KINGS of MACEDON. Alexander III ‘the Great’. 336-323 BC. AR Tetradrachm (24.5mm, 17.02 g, 1h). Myriandros or Issos mint. Struck under Menes or Philotas, circa 325-324/3 BC. Head of Herakles right, wearing lion skin / Zeus Aëtophoros seated left; in left field, monogram above club-in-wreath [above pellet]; monogram below throne. Price 3231; Newell, Myriandros 29, obv. die XVII; CNG E-375, lot 255 (same dies). VF, lightly toned, some porosity, a little off center on reverse.
