SELEUKID EMPIRE. Seleukos II Kallinikos. 246-225 BC. Æ (23.3mm, 8.29 g, 2h). Seleukeia on the Tigris mint. Jugate busts of the Dioskouroi left, wearing laureate pilei, the nearer facing only slighly left / Nike standing left, crowning trophy and holding palm frond; bull’s head right at foot of trophy, monogram to outer and inner left. SC 776; HGC 9, 332. Fine, dark green and brown patina, some light cleaning scratches.
