Aesculapius, warding off winged Death, who holds a victim left, standing right, holding wrist of woman seated left, embracing child; behind, woman standing weeping with E. ROGAT 1832 behind; in background, classical physicians, one holding a smoking bowl; E. ROGAT 1832 behind weeping woman; INVASION DU CHOLÉRA/EN 1832 in two lines in exergue / Incuse of obverse.
