RULE BRI TANNIA!, Half-length figure of Neptune, wearing haversack decorated with Union Jack, standing slightly left in ocean, supporting ship’s hull, inscribed COURAGEOUS and surmounted by aircraft, on shoulder, and trident; GUIDO GOETZ to right / DIE HIOBSBOTSCHAFT AN CHURCHILL, skeleton, draped in shroud, advancing right from ocean behind, holding banner inscribed with swastiska above TORPED./VON/DEUTSCH./“U”/BOOT/18. SEPT. 1939 in six lines. Cf. Engstrom 4 (issue in iron). EF. Apparently unique variety in bronze of an extremely rare medal by the son of Karl Goetz.
