Head of Athena right, wearing earring, necklace, and crested Attic helmet decorated with three olive leaves over visor and a spiral palmette on the bowl / Owl standing right, head facing, closed tail feathers; olive sprig and crescent to left, AΘE to right; all within incuse square. Kroll 8; Svoronos, Monnaies, pl. 12, 24; HGC 4, 1597. Choice EF, toned and with underlying luster. A compact and tidy rendition of Athena, with exceptional crest.
