SASANIAN KINGS of PERSIA. Shapur III. 383-388 AD. AV Dinar (7.33 gm). Sind(?) mint. Crowned bust right, especially ornate globe on crown / Fire altar with two attendants, bust of Ahura Mazda(?) above. Cf. Göbl I/1; cf. Paruck 265; CNG 60, lot 1055 (same dies). Good VF, a few scratches. Unpublished. ($3000)
Göbl lists Shapur III as having no gold issues, as does Sellwood. However, Paruck lists four; two with standard crowns and two with pearl diadem. This coin resembles an example of unestablished weight, held in the Berlin museum at the time of Paruck's publication, but with different legends.
