D N IVLIVS MAIORI ΛNVS P F ΛVC, pearl-diademed, helmeted, draped, and cuirassed bust right, holding spear forward in right hand and shield decorated with cross in left / Latin cross pattée within wreath; large central jewel above; COMOB. Cf. Reinhart, Münzen 66; RIC X 3747; Lacam pl. 14, 58 (Arles mint); MEC 1, –. EF, lightly toned, scratch on reverse, minor edge marks. Very rare.
