THESSALY, Larissa. Circa 460-400 BC. AR Trihemiobol (13mm, 1.23 g, 7h). Warrior, holding two spears, on horse prancing left / Λ-Α/P-I/[Σ]-A, the nymph Larissa, seated to right on chair, the back of which terminates in a swan’s head, throwing a ball and holding hoop below; all in shallow incuse square with rounded edges. BCD Thessaly II 362.1; HGC 4, 470 var. (obv. type right). Near VF, toned, granular surfaces, minor marks. Rare.
