ATTICA, Athens. Circa 353-294 BC. AR Tetradrachm (21mm, 16.96 g, 9h). Contemporary imitation. Helmeted head of Athena right, with profile eye and pi-style palmette / Owl standing right, head facing; olive sprig and crescent behind. For prototype, cf. HGC 4, 1599. VF, lightly toned, some horn silver, compact flan. High quality imitation.

The thick flan and hammered edges suggest an eastern origin for this imitation, possibly as far as Baktria or northern India.
