Diademed and draped bust right; pelleted border / Apollo, holding bow in right hand, standing left and leaning on bow set on ground; monogram to inner left at feet. Bopearachchi 2A, pl. 23, A = MIG Type 165a = BMBI 5, pl. V, 5 (same rev. die); Bopearachchi & Rahman –; SNG ANS –; Triton XVII, lot 444 (same rev. die); Triton XV, lot 1347 (same rev. die). VF, light porosity, small flan crack, edge bump at 2:00 o’clock on obverse. Extremely rare, only two examples on CoinArchives (the Triton XVII specimen hammered $5,500 and the Triton XV specimen hammered $8,250).
