SCOTLAND. James III. 1460-1488. AR Halfgroat (19.5mm, 1.21 g, 8h). Light issue, Type IV. Edinburgh mint. Struck circa 1482. Crowned facing bust within tressure of seven arcs; trefoils at end of each arc / Long cross pattée; mullets and triple pellets in alternate quarters. Burns 6 and fig. 607; SCBC 5282. Near VF, toned, some weakness of strike, scratches. Very rare.
