Terracotta oil lamp with Cupid riding dolphin. Roman, 2nd-3rd centuries AD. Round oil lamp with single handle. Central motif of a dolphin facing right, being ridden by Cupid. Hole above and below central design, scallop-shell border around. Small nozzle with central hole.
Dimensions: 8.5x6.5x3.4cm. Sandy patina. A few chips on body, otherwise an attractive and well-preserved example.
