THESSALY, Larissa. Circa 460-400 BC. AR Obol (11mm, 0.92 g, 3h). Horse trotting left / ΛARI (R retrograde), the nymph Larissa standing left, balancing hydria on knee; to right, spouting water fountain right in the form of lion’s head; all within incuse square. Cf. BCD Thessaly II 361.3/361.1 (for obv. die/rev. type); HGC 4, 484. VF, toned, slight granularity, struck with worn reverse die. Rare with reverse type left.
