LUCANIA, Metapontion. Circa 330-290 BC. AR Nomos (20mm, 7.91 g, 8h). Head of Demeter left, wearing wreath of grain ears, triple-pendant earring, and pearl necklace / Barley ear with leaf to left; to left, pitchfork above leaf, [A]Δ below; META upward to right. Johnston Class C, 5.5 = BMC 112 (same dies); HN Italy 1582. Superb EF, even deep gray tone with golden hues, die break on reverse.
