LUCANIA, Metapontion. Circa 330-290 BC. AR Nomos (20mm, 7.91 g, 6h). Head of Demeter left, wearing wreath of grain ears, triple-pendant earring, and necklace; [XƎ]Δ below chin / Barley ear with leaf to left; lit altar above leaf, YΛ to right of stem, ATƎM to right. Johnston Class C, 10.4 = SNG ANS 503 (same dies); HN Italy 1593; SNG Gale 654 (same dies). EF, attractive cabinet tone, light graffito on cheek. Rare.
