LUCANIA, Poseidonia. Circa 420-410 BC. AR Nomos (21mm, 7.81 g, 3h). Poseidon, nude but for chlamys draped over both arms, standing right, preparing to cast trident held aloft in right hand, left arm extended; Z to left, ΠOΣEIΔA to right / Bull standing left on double exergue line, the lower dotted; ΠOΣEIΔ[A] above, H below. Noe, Group 19a (this coin); HN Italy 1127; SNG ANS 677 (same dies); SNG Copenhagen 1290 (same dies). EF, attractive old collection toning. Fine style.
