SELEUCIS and PIERIA, Laodicea ad Mare. Hadrian. AD 117-138. AR Tetradrachm (25mm, 13.00 g, 12h). Dated year 170 of the Caesarean Era (AD 123/4). AYTOKP KAICAP TPAIANOC A-ΔPIANOC CЄBACT, laureate and cuirassed bust of Hadrian right, with gorgoneion on breastplate / IOYΛIЄωN TωN KAI ΛAOΔIKЄωN, turreted and draped bust of Tyche right, with grape bunches in hair; OP (date) below chin. Prieur 1109; RPC III 3805.6 (this coin, illustrated on pl. 168). Good VF, toned, minor scratches, slight doubling on reverse. Fine style. Very rare, 1 of only 6 cited in RPC.
