SCANDINAVIA. 11th century AD. AR Penny (19.5mm, 1.20 g, 3h). Imitation of a Cnut Quatefoil type. ‘Olthus’ mint; ‘Eolth,’ moneyer. Struck after 1016. + CNVT REX ΛNGLORV, crowned bust left in quatrefoi / + EO LÐ O N OL ÐVS, voided long cross with triple-crescent ends and pellet at center, over quatrefoil.
