Phase IIb-c, circa 785-792/3. + C·FNEð·RF·ð· R·EGINΛ, barred Mercian m surrounded by pellets / +E ◊ B A on limbs of a cross of lobes with internal pellets; fleurs in angles. Naismith Coinage 47 = EMC 2008.0332 = PAS BERK-328187 (this coin); Chick 148; North 340; SCBC 910. Near VF, deeply toned, ragged and wavy flan, deposit on revere. Very rare, one of only 11 noted by Chick and Naismith, two additional in EMC.
