LUCANIA, Sybaris. Circa 530-510 BC. AR Nomos (25mm, 7.20 g, 12h). Bull standing left, head right; MV in exergue / Incuse bull standing right, head left. S&S Class H, pl. XLIX, 20–1; Gorini ; HN Italy 1729. Fine, toned, graffito X in field on obverse, scattered marks. Rare variety with MV (as opposed to the usual VM) in exergue.
