ATTICA, Athens. Circa 500/490-485/0 BC. AR Hemiobol (5.5mm, 0.30 g, 4h). Helmeted head of Athena right / Owl standing right, head facing; two olive leaves to left; all within incuse square. Seltman Group Gii, p. 188, pl. XXII, λ; HGC 4, 1678. Fine, toned, off center on obverse. Excellent metal.
Includes an old handwritten ticket in English, noting “Ex AHB July 1946 12/6 [12 shillings and sixpence]” and “Ex Lord Grantley”.
