From the Andrew McCabe Collection, purchased from Numismatica Ars Classica, 2010.

McCabe, Essays Russo Group C3 with reverse in the style of RRC 89 club and obverse in the style of RRC 80 dolphin, which have narrower heads and neck. The presence of these obverse/reverse style hybrids in both directions locates the club and dolphin series in the same mint, which may be Brundisium, see McCabe, Essays Russo, pp. 132-140. A very heavy coin. [Andrew McCabe]
